Torben Lund Skovhus

Dr. Torben Lund Skovhus is Docent & Project Manager at VIA University College and CEO at Skovhus BioConsult in Denmark. He undertakes applied research on a range of aspects including: Industrial microbiology, applied biotechnology, corrosion management, oilfield microbiology, water treatment and safety, reservoir souring, and microbial corrosion. Dr Skovhus was honored with the NACE Technical Achievement Award in 2020 for outstanding research on MIC in the Energy Sector. Co-editor of the book "Failure Analysis of Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion" (2021) by CRC Press. 

Richard B. Eckert

Mr. Eckert, Principal Owner of Microbial Corrosion Consulting LLC  has over 40 years of experience in corrosion, materials and failure investigation, primarily in oil and gas. He has conducted extensive field work and research in the area of MIC and internal corrosion management, mitigation and monitoring. He is author of over 50 papers and 4 books on internal corrosion and MIC, the latest being "Failure Analysis of Microbiologically Influenced Corrosion" (2021) by CRC Press. He is the recipient of the NACE T J Hull Award, NACE Presidential Achievement and NACE Distinguished Service awards along with the AUSC Col Cox Award.
